Machantea Malakha is going to be releasing its OTT platform called SimplySouth soon. The movie was released in theaters on 27th February 2025. It is a comedy drama film directed by Bobal Samuel. Movie Plot
The movie is about a conductor of a KSRTC bus who has tried conventional ways to obtain a life partner but failed every time. He gets married to a woman one day who catches his bus daily. The romance that starts in a simple way takes a sudden turn. The marriage of the two does not proceed as expected. They find themselves facing trouble in their wedded life, which they did not anticipate.

The film has received mixed reviews. One of the critics at The Hindu wrote that Machantea Malakha stumbles by clinging to conventional assumptions and outdated filmmaking practices. The film tries to establish a sense of tradition but appears stale and predictable. It relies too heavily on stereotypes and lacks new vision.
