Netflix's First Pakistani Original Series Premieres in June: Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo

Netflix is set to release its first ever original series from Pakistan, "Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo," (जो बचे हैं संग समेट लो) meaning "Gather those who are left" which will be coming to the OTT this June 2025. The series is making a huge buzz, thanks to its who's who cast and interesting plot. Featuring the legendary couple Iqra Aziz and Ahad Raza Mir, the series brings on board some of Pakistan's top names. 

The production promises to be a visual treat with cameras rolling in picturesque spots of Italy, the U.K., and Pakistan. Adapted from Farhat Ishtiaq's phenomenally popular Urdu novel, the narrative comes alive with a thrilling description of love, tragedy, and redemption. 

About the Series

The series familiarizes us with Sikander, a Harvard law student whose world is suddenly upended by an ill-fated occurrence, and Leeza (or Liza), a free-spirited painter with a complex past. Ahad Raza Mir and Iqra Aziz breathe life into these complex characters, pulling in the viewers through a romance-mystery combination. Filmed against picturesque Italian backdrops, the show promises a cinematic experience supported by international production standards. 

Adapted from Farhat Ishtiaq's bestselling novel, the story strikes a balance between personal conflicts and emotions common to everyone. The existence of these characters is well-reasoned, inviting critics as well as viewers to view the familiar themes with a fresh point of view. This production is already being touted as a potential game-changer for Pakistani content on global platforms.

The series features a star-studded ensemble cast, which includes legendary names like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Bilal Ashraf, Maya Ali, and Hania Aamir.
