Prince and Family is a fresh Malayalam family drama movie that is a milestone in the career of Dileep. The movie has been directed by debutant director Binto Stephen. Movie Plot
Prince and Family is set in the life of Prince Chakkalakkal, who is the eldest son in a typical Christian family in the small town of Planjod in central Travancore. Prince is the town's eligible bachelor. He owns a bridal boutique called "Prince's Bridal House" and has a degree in fashion design, famous for his saree draping. Although his younger brothers are married and settled, Prince remains a bachelor and values his privacy and perfectionism in his profession. His life is turned upside down when he is requested for his hand in marriage and ends up marrying someone with a completely different personality from what he had imagined.
Dileep acts Prince Chakkalakkal in the film, delivering a performance that is charming and nuanced. Siddique acts Baby Chakkalakkal and Dhyan Sreenivasan acts Jince Chakkalakkal. Female leads are reflected through Josephine by Urvashi, Jancy by Bindhu Panicker, and Safiya by Manju Pillai. The film takes us along the humorous and emotional times experienced after the marriage of Prince and observes him into his family life. The movie is a combination of comedy and emotional times and hence a story that fits family.
